TB48 CAMSHAFTS The Nissan Patrol is a four-wheel-drive vehicle, manufactured by Nissan in Japan since 1950. The car is available in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United Kingdom and the Middle East and it is in direct competition with the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Patrol is available with either two door (Short Wheel Base or SWB) or four door wagon (LWB, Long Wheel Base). The old Y60 platform is still manufactured as a military vehicle to Asian countries and the Middle East. The most popular Nissan Patrol engine is the TB48, which features a DOHC cylinder head configuration and variable valve timing placed on top of a rugged 4.8L engine block.
